FILE SHORT

Gandhidham-based transporter Shailesh Hazarilal Goyal has caused a stir in the corporate world by filing a criminal case against company owner Devansh Jain, CEO Kailash Tarachandani, director Rajiv Gupta and Vineet David.

Shailesh Goyal said he owed the company Rs 30 crore from the company for transportation of machinery and civil jobs. Director Rajiv Gupta and Vineet David were giving him excuses. He later had a meeting with Shailesh’s Devansh Jain and Kailash Tarachandani. Devansh and Kailas promised to give them money and wrote two checks of two crores dated 21-10-2018 and 20-11-2018. However, after both the checks bounced, he filed a suit against the company in Gandhidham court. The accused then gave him a demand draft of Rs 2 crore. Meanwhile, director Rajiv Gupta held a meeting with Shailesh at the company’s headquarters in Noida and settled the case in the Gandhidham court on the condition of withdrawing Rs 15 crore. Shailesh settled for the rest of the money as needed and an agreement was reached for that. The company then wrote DDs worth Rs 5 crore and four separate checks worth Rs 10 crore to Shailesh. However, all four checks bounced again. So Shailesh again filed a case against the company in the Gandhidham court. The Gandhidham A division police station has registered a complaint against Shailesh for allegedly defrauding the four accused of Rs 21 crore 50 lakh 23 thousand 513.
